MEET THE TEACHERS Indira, Isaac, Denise & Adil

indira 1 (1)

Indira is a dedicated teacher with a diverse background including academia, process facilitation, and the arts. As a practicing artist and lifelong language learner herself, she is deeply curious about people, cultures, and the ways language shapes how we express ourselves and connect to each other. Having lived in multiple countries and learned several languages, she understands firsthand both the challenges and opportunities that come with learning a new language and settling into a new culture.

Indira sees language learning as an organic process—one that evolves differently for everyone, and she intuitively adapts to each student’s unique needs and learning style. She seeks to create a safe and encouraging space where students can explore Danish, making learning both practical and engaging and helping them integrate the language naturally into their daily lives.

Isaac lives in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he has grown up. He gained teaching experience by immersing in the international environment, through voluntary projects helping international students in Copenhagen.

For Isaac, the most important part of language teaching, is adhering to the students wishes, and making them feel good abut themselves while learning Danish. He has experience with everything from serious PD3-preparation to complete beginner levels, and currently teaches groups as well as individual students.

Isaac believes the best way to learn any language, is while having fun, and understands that not everyone has time to study Danish full time. At the same time, he loves recommending students different homework exercises and/or literature to improve in Danish.

Adil has a very informal and engaging approach to teaching Danish. It is important for her to establish a good relationship with her students, so that she can understand their needs, what motivates them and what their learning style is so that she can teach them in the most optimal way.

In her teaching there is room for both failure and victory. There is room to be curious and to ask questions. There is room to laugh and play because learning must be fun. And then there is room to be challenged.

From her many travels all around the world, she has learned that the best way to learn a new language is by speaking, speaking, speaking! Therefore, she focuses on teaching through dialogue so that you learn to use the language in your everyday life.

Adil started Welcome to Danmark in 2021.
